Hello, I am Geoffrey McEvoy
I was born into the automotive world thanks to my father, who ran a garage well into the 80's. He was specialised in Jaguar, Lotus, and TVR.
I grew up amidst luxury and sports cars, it is only natural that I follow in his footsteps.
My Grandfather was a mechanic in the British army, and my Great Grand Uncle was none other than Colonel Michael McEvoy! If you have ever heard of McEvoy Motorcycles, they are his creation! He also had a highly important role in the development of the Volkswagen Beetle, after WWII.
My first motorcycle was given to me as a present, for my seventh birthday (I still have it!). I learned how to drive a car at nine, with a Land Rover Series IIa, and rebuilt my first motorcycle engine at fourteen.
Now I run my own classic car servicing company. Every now and then, I write articles for classic car magazines, and also run a YouTube channel, creating automotive content, and radio control car adventures. I also teach mechanics at school, during evening class.
With my good friend Thomas François, we have initiated a trendy, automotive related content channel, called Mecanography. We share the same passion for classic cars. He is a photographer, and I a mechanic, hence the name.
As a hobby, I upgrade radio control cars with custom-made parts, ride motorcycles, and go off-road with my Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer 710K.
